Talihina wreck victim dies

A 79-year-old man critically injured last week in a wreck near Talihina died Wednesday morning.
Huey Mangus of Talihina was driving a 2000 Chevrolet pickup north about 10 a.m. on Jan. 31 on U.S. Highway 271 approximately seven miles north of Talihina when the accident occurred, according to the accident report. Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Tody Perez reported the pickup went off the left side of the road and struck a guardrail. Mangus was ejected about five feet.
He was flown by a medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
