Team Fairless wins latest LeFlore County Bass Club tournament on Wister
The LeFlore County Bass Club had its fifth tournament of the 2012 circuit Saturday at Ward's Landing on Wister Lake. There were 30 boats which had 58 excited anglers who caught a collective total of 127 fish weighing a combined 302.14 pounds. The average fish weighed 2.38 pounds, and 22 limits were caught.The Fairless duo of Eric “Hulka” and “Smilin'” Ray came out on top with a total of 16.66 pounds to earn $725.Brian “Cuts Like a Knife” Adams and “Dapper” Don Capsey were second (16.3 pounds, $435), with Adams' big bass winner weighing 5.33 pounds among the haul. Adams earned $290 for the big bass winer.Gary “Egghead” Steelman and Keith “Big Perm” Griffith were third (16.1 pounds, $290).Rounding out the top 10 were Bobby Denton and Jason Roberts in fourth (15.94 pounds), followed by Danny Love and Melvin McKay (14.29), Judd Wann and Josh Roberts (13.72), Jeff Hardin and Dennis Roper (13.19), Paul Spangler and Clyde Naylor (13.16), Jerrad Keller and Austin Shrock (12.13) and Billy and Marla Wilson (12.11).The Club's next tournament will take place May 20 at Potato Hills South on Sardis Lake.The BacklashFishing ReportThe River Rat Bass Club will have an open bass tournament from safe light until 3 p.m. Saturday at Potato Hills South on Sardis Lake. The cost is $80 per boat.
