Thomas Edward Morrison, 68, of Spiro died Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, in Fort Smith, Ark. Thomas was born Oct. 16, 1943, in Hontubby to Arthur and Elizabeth (Helton) Morrison. He was a truck driver. Thomas was a veteran of the U.S. Army and he served in Vietnam. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Joan of the home; daughter, Jeanna Smith of Spiro; sons, Ronnie Morrison of Waldron, Ark., Hurshell Morrison of Houston, Texas, Rickey Morrison of Spiro; grandchildren, Punky Osburn, Jimmy Smith, Kayble, Kasey, Kole, Shelby, Travis, Halley and Leanna Morrison; great-grandson, Keaton Osburn; sister, Mary Frances Ritter of Bentonville, Ark., Faye Baker of Vandervoort, Ark., Joyce Wilson of Poteau, Marie Baker of Vandervoort; and brother, Franklin Morrison of Cameron.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18, at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, with the Rev. Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery, Spiro. Pallbearers are Jimmy Smith, Kenny Osburn, Kayble Morrison, Kole Morrison, Johnny Pagett, Hurshell Morrison and Rickey Morrison
