January 16, 2013

Three men have been arrested in connection with burglaries in the southern portion of LeFlore County.

A rash of burglaries over the last two weeks has resulted in three men arrested in connection with part of them.
Two men, Levi Poor, 25, of Heavener, and Bradley Steelman, 35, of Cameron, were arrested after several guns were stolen from a Hontubby home on Jan. 6. According to the arrest affidavit, Poor told officers he stayed in the vehicle while Steelman went into the home and stole the guns.
Both men have been charged with second degree burglary, knowingly concealing stolen property and conspiracy to commit burglary. They are being held in the LeFlore County Detention Center.
In an unrelated arrest, Willie Leon Farthing, 31, of Mena Ark., was arrested after two search warrants were served. One was at a location in Hontubby, another in Arkansas. Farthing was arrested during the execution of the search warrants. According to LeFlore County Undersheriff Kendall Morgan, a multi-agency task force served the warrants and stolen items from several counties were recovered. Farthing is being held in the LeFlore County Detention Center on a $105,000 bail.
