OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder played very well Friday night at New Orleans and looked to keep on track with a win over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Kevin Durant, who was named the Western Conference Player of the Week on Monday, made sure of that by securing his first triple-double of his career with 25 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Thunder past the Warriors 119-109.
The Thunder has played well this season, but the past couple of games it seems the team is starting to come together as it routed the New Orleans Hornets on Friday night 110-95 on the road, then returned home for an easy victory against a Warrior team that has five wins on the young season.
The team has now won seven of its last eight games and entertains former Oklahoma Sooner Blake Griffin and the Los Angeles Clipper on Wednesday night that is 6-2, including wins over Miami and Chicago this past week.
