OKLAHOMA CITY — The Oklahoma City Thunder played their last preseason home game Sunday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena, defeating the Denver Nuggets 108-101.
The Thunder had as much as a 19-point lead (49-30), but eventually trailed in the fourth quarter before finishing the game strong to capture the victory.
With almost a full house in the arena, the crowd was loud early and often as the Thunder raced out to a 17-8 lead backed by Serge Ibaka’s shooting. Ibaka, who apparently has been working on his outside shooting, hit 4-of-4 from the field to start the game, including a pair of 3-point baskets. He led the team in scoring with 10 points through the opening quarter.
