ARKOMA — A tough night shooting doomed the Wister Lady Wildcats as they suffered a 62-44 loss to the Arkoma Lady Mustangs on Thursday night at the Arkoma Gym.
The Lady ’Cats missed 19 shots in the first half, which led to them being down 19-7 after one period and being shutout 15-0 in the second quarter to trail the Lady Mustangs by 27 points, 34-7, at the break.
Wister did open the second half with a 9-4 run to cut the deficit to 38-16, but Arkoma’s lead was never seriously in jeopardy.
Panama 69, Gans 48: In Panama, after a rough showing on Dec. 28 against Spiro in the Panama Holiday Festival, the Lady Razorbacks rebounded rather nicely.
The Lady ’Backs led the Lady Grizzlies 18-8 after one period and never looked back.
