HEAVENER — The Heavener Wolves picked up a much needed win, beating the Wilburton Diggers 53-47 on Thursday at the Heavener Gym.
The Wolves jumped out to a 22-10 lead after a period to take control of the game.
Whitesboro 64, Panola 22: In Panola, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 12-7 lead after one period, extended the advantage to 34-9 at halftime and took a 52-14 lead into the final period.
McCurtain 73, Bokoshe 48: In McCurtain, the Bulldogs, who led 17-10 after a period, outscored the Tigers 22-6 in the second half to take a 39-17 lead at halftime.
Editor's note: Friday night's Cameron-Leflore game and Keota-Wister game were snowed out with no make-up date scheduled. Also, the Poteau-Broken Bow game slated Saturday afternoon was also canceled due to inclement weather conditions.
