POCOLA — Despite being without three starters, the Pocola Lady Indians were always in striking distance in their Thursday night home game against the Cameron Lady Yellowjackets. However, Pocola hit only 13-of-29 free throws, which proved to be its doom in a 52-48 loss to Cameron.
The Lady ’Jackets led 9-7 after a period en route to a 27-18 halftime advantage.
The Lady Indians cut the deficit to a one-possesion game at 36-33 in the early moments of the final quarter, but they could never get over the hump.
Arkoma 74, Porum 38: In Arkoma, the Lady Mustangs jumped out to a 20-4 lead after a period and never looked back.
Keota 49, Bokoshe 35: In Keota, the Lady Lions led 22-21 at halftime and 35-29 after three periods, they outscored the Lady Tigers in the final quarter 14-6 to get the win.
Editor's note: The Haileyville-Leflore game that was slated for Thursday night was rescheduled to Friday night.
