CAMERON — The Cameron Lady Yellowjackets took out their frustrations in losing to Arkoma Tuesday afternoon on the Leflore Lady Savages — and in a big way.
The Lady ’Jackets swept a doubleheader from the Lady Savages by scores of 17-5 and 5-1.
Heavener 10, Howe 1; Heavener 12, Panama 2; Panama 15, Howe 8: In Heavener, the Lady Wolves beat both of their guest teams.
In the win over Howe, Heavener scored two runs in the first and third innings for a 4-0 lead.
In the victory over Panama, the Lady Wolves broke a 1-1 tie with a 10-run fourth inning.
In Panama's win over Howe, the Lady Lions were their own worse enemy as they issued eight of their 10 walks to Panama batters in the first inning in which the Lady ’Backs scored 10 of their 15 runs.
Pocola 3, Wister 2, 8 inn.; Sallisaw 7, Pocola 3; Sallisaw 11, Wister 0: In Pocola, an RBI single by Erin Holderfield with one out in the eighth inning was the game-winning hit against Wister.
In Pocola's loss over Sallisaw, the Lady Indians led 3-0, but a rough defensive seventh inning allowed the Lady Black Diamonds to score all seven runs to snatch the win away.
In Wister's loss to Sallisaw, the Lady Black Diamonds, who led 1-0 after an inning, broke the game open with a six-run fifth inning.
Arkoma 8, Braggs 6: In Arkoma, down 3-0 in the second inning, the Lady Mustangs erupted for four runs in both the second and third innings to take an 8-4 lead.
Broken Bow 2, Talihina 1: In Broken Bow, the Lady Savages broke a 1-1 tie with a run in the seventh inning to get the win.
Editor's Note — Howe will play a doubleheader at 4:30 p.m. Monday at Red Oak.
