WISTER — The Wister Lady Wildcats and the Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs posted wins over the Spiro Lady Bulldogs in Thursday's three-way.
The Lady ’Cats held off Spiro 9-8, while Whitesboro beat Spiro 9-1 in a battle of Lady Bulldogs. Whitesboro and Wister played a junior varsity game.
In Wister's win over Spiro, the Lady Wildcats broke an 8-8 tie with a run in the sixth inning on Kylee Carpenter's RBI single to get the win.
In Whitesboro's win over Spiro, after single runs in the first two innings, Whitesboro broke open the game with a six-run third inning for an 8-0 lead.
Editor's Note — The Leflore-Bokoshe game did not take place. It is not known if it will be rescheduled. Also, nothing was reported on Pocola's home game with Sallisaw-Central by press time.
