Thursday's High School Softball Roundup

WHITESBORO — The Wister Lady Wildcats got their first win of the 2012 fall season with a 13-5 victory over the Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs Thursday afternoon.
Panama 11, Howe 0; Panama 8, Quinton 4; Quinton 13, Howe 0: In Panama, Panama pitcher Taylor Eaves threw a no-hitter against the Lady Lions. The Lady ’Back senior struck out 10 Howe batters.
In Panama's win over Quinton, the Lady Razorbacks broke a 4-4 tie with Class 2A's sixth-ranked Lady Savages with a four-run fifth inning.
In Howe's loss to Quinton, the Lady Lions got only a first-inning single by Kerstein Hall against the Lady Savage pitcher.
Heavener 18, Sallisaw 8; Heavener 16, Battiest 0: In Heavener, the Lady Wolves got a pair of wins on Thursday in their home three-way.
Editor's Note — Howe's Friday home softball game against Battiest was canceled and will not be made up.
