Thursday's High School Softball Roundup

March 30, 2013

BUFFALO VALLEY — The Howe Lady Lions softball team suffered two losses to begin the two-day Buffalo Valley Festival. The Lady Lions lost 10-8 to the Clayton Lady Bulldogs, while suffering a 10-0 shutout at the hands of the Kiowa Lady Cowgirls.
The Lady Lions did not get as chance to play their final two games in the two-day event as their contests with Buffalo Valley and Battiest were rained out on Friday with no make-up dates set.
Smithville 7, Whitesboro 2: In Smithville, the Lady Braves jumped to a 4-0 lead after an inning, and never trailed.
Editor's note — Heavener's game with Clayton did not take place because the Lady Bulldogs were in the Buffalo Valley Festival. No make-up date has been set. Also, look for the story about this weekend's Red Oak Tournament in Tuesday's edition.
