Too hot to do, well, anything at all!

July 22, 2011

THE UNDEFEATED — The Poteau Pirates went undefeated as they won the Coach-Pitch/Age 8-and-Younger championship in the 2011 Poteau City League. It's too hot to fish, too hot for golf and I hope it's too cold at home. My air conditioner runs all day long and barely keeps up. I can't believe it's been this hot for this long. Therefore, I don't have as much fishing information as I normally do.

Football is looming in the air — I can't wait. John Perry has got me coaching the third-grade Poteau Pirates Bandit League team, and we all went to a coaches meeting Wednesday night in Roland. It's going to be fun!
I got signed up for “Wipeout — Season 5.” I'm just waiting for the phone call or the email. Then, I'll have to fly to Burbank, Calif. I would love to win that $50,000.
Also, congratulations to the Poteau Pirates Coach-Pitch Baseball Team, which went undefeated en route to winning the 2011 Poteau City League championship.
Save the world, recycle.
God bless our troops and veterans.
Have a great weekend — and stay cool!
