Tornado Alley Poker Run to benefit Youth Services

June 10, 2013

Like to feel the wind blow through your hair as you take out on the highway? If so, there's a new benefit in town just for you.
The first ever Tornado Alley Poker Run will be held to benefit the LeFlore County Youth Services. The event, hosted by The Lounge at Strike-A-Lot Lanes in Poteau, will involve the standard poker run rules. Each contestant will have the opportunity of five-card draw with an optional bonus card for $5 at each checkpoint along the run. Players may not draw the same card. Duplicate cards result in re-draw. If you want to better your odds, you can buy additional score cards for $5 each.
Registration for the poker run is $25 per bike and $10 for additional riders and begins at 11 a.m. at the Lounge. Registration includes meal, door prize ticker, one score card and end-of-the-run entertainment. For those not participating in the run, they can still purchase a meal for $7. The winner, which is not determined by who finished the course first so be safe, will win half the poker pot while the other half will be donated to a charity of the winner's choice.
For further information or to donate to the event, contact Amanda Cox at (918) 647-9712 or email at lounge.dj.asc@gmail.com.
