Treble Choir performs holiday concert Tuesday

The award-winning Treble Choir of Cavanal Chorale invites everyone to celebrate the holiday season with a special performance. For the third consecutive year, the Treble Choir will perform traditional Christmas songs and carols. This year’s performance is entitled “Another Night of Carols” and will begin at 7 p.m. tonight at the Poteau First United Methodist Church, at 109 South Harper. The musical selections will last about an hour. Light refreshments will be served.Members of the Treble Choir are Madison Adams, Elizabeth Baker, Jenna Boehme, Madison Brand, Delesia Brown, Hailey Burgess, Nathan Burgess, Sarah Carpenter, Breckin Castillo, Juliet Clarke, Caley Crump, Alyssa Driver, Haley Durant, Micah Ellis, Breanna Foster, Chloe Gotes, Kaitlin Grice, Mya Hess, Macie Hendricks, Jalynn Herring, Alexis Jandayan, Madalyn Krehl, Jodie Marshall, Damaris Martinez, Allison Mattox, Brittany Mills, Jagger Nikkel, Zach Perkins, Madison Pinnell, Trevon Shoat, Linsey Snow, Gabriel Stevens, Gracie Summers, Savannah Tassone, Alexis Waddle, Bethany Weaver, Kansas White and Serenitie Woodard. The choir is directed by Matthew Houston and accompanied by Diann Henson. Though this is the final performance of 2013 for the Treble Choir, the “Magic of Music” concert season will continue into the spring. Performances will include an appearance at the Poteau Music Festival and the featured spring concert series “Pure Imagination,” held April 12-13.Mid-season auditions for the choir during the second semester will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, or by appointment between Dec. 16 and 22.
