Troy Franklin Riddle, 86, of Blanchard, died April 3, 2014, in Norman. He was born May 9, 1927, in Cox City, to John Franklin and Emma (Dutton) Riddle.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Troy married Irma Sue Clay on Sept. 16, 1951, in Poteau. Troy worked as a maintenance supervisor at both Will Rogers and Wiley Post Airports for many years and was a member of Knob Hill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. He enjoyed woodworking, building things and playing golf.Â
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Debra Sue Mudd; and great granddaughter, Madison Lee Ann Arnold.
Troy is survived by his wife, Sue Riddle, of Blanchard; son, Keith Riddle and wife, Debi, of Yukon; daughter, Rhonda Townsend and husband, Tonie, of Blanchard; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Cowden and wife, Glenda, of Lindsay; sisters, Ellen Turner of Lindsay and Audry Yandell and husband, J.W., of Lindsay; and many loved ones and friends.
Services were held Monday, April 7, at Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial was in
Blanchard Cemetery under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard.
