Tuesday's High School Baseball Roundup

August 23, 2012

CAMERON — The duo of Cody McAlpin and Dillon Jackson combined to throw a no-hitter Tuesday afternoon as the Cameron Yellowjackets handled the Okay Mustangs by a score of 11-3.
McAlpin pitched the first three innings, allowing no hits and striking out six batters. Jackson pitched the final two innings, fanning four batters and allowing no hits.
Leflore 9, Kiowa 5: In Leflore, the Savages avenged last weekend's loss to the Cowboys in the Buffalo Valley Tournament with a come-from-behind victory.
Down 2-0 in the opening inning, the Savages scored twice to tie the game, then took the lead for good with a three-run second inning — highlighted by Chance Yandell's two-RBI double.
