KINTA — The Cameron Yellowjackets enter today's Carl Albert State College Classic on a high note as they picked up two wins in a road three-way on Tuesday. The ’Jackets doubled up the Leflore Savages 6-3 after routing the host Kinta Eagles 11-0.
Battiest 9, Whitesboro 7: In Battiest, with the game tied at 4 after four innings, the Panthers broke the tie with a two-run fifth to take a 6-4 lead.
After the Bulldogs cut the deficit to 6-5 in the sixth inning, the Panthers scored three runs in the sixth to enter the seventh inning ahead 9-5.
Oktaha 15, Wister 5: In Oktaha, trailing 2-0 in the first inning, the Tigers erupted for six runs in the frame, chasing Wister starting pitcher Seth Shelton before the inning ended, to take a 6-2 lead after an inning. Oktaha never lost the lead from there.
