CAMERON — Pocola pitcher Connor Mangham began his senior season on the mound by no-hitting the Smithville Braves in a 7-3 victory for the Indians, who also beat host Cameron 5-2 in Tuesday's three-way.
The Braves beat the ’Jackets 6-3 in the third game.
In Pocola's win over Smithville, Mangham struck out eight batters in five innings without giving up a hit.
The Indians jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, more than enough run support for Mangham.
In Pocola's victory over Cameron, the Indians broke a 1-all tie with a four-run fifth inning.
In Cameron's loss to Smithville, the Braves jumped out to a 4-0 lead after an inning, which became a 5-0 advantage by the second inning.
Panama 12, Panola 0: In Panama, Gabe Harp pitched two of the three innings, allowing only a hit and striking out six batters. Ryan Shirey pitched the third inning with two Ks.
Heavener 15, Kinta 0: In Kinta, the Wolves run ruled the Eagles to remain undefeated on the season. No more information was reported on the game.
Stigler 15, Talihina 5: In Stigler, the Panthers spoiled the season opener for the Golden Tigers.
