GREENWOOD, Ark. — The Poteau Pirates suffered a 6-2 road loss to Greenwood, Ark., Tuesday afternoon.The Pirates were their own worst enemy as they committed four errors, leading to four of Greenwood's six runs.Down 3-0 after three innings, Kaydon Evans hit a two-out, RBI single to cut the deficit to 3-1, but Greenwood scored once in the fourth and fifth innings for a 5-1 lead after five innings.Blake Roley's third home run of the season, a solo shot in the sixth inning cut the Greenwood lead to 5-2, but that was as close as the Pirates got.Wister 9, Pocola 1; Pocola 7, Oktaha 6: In Pocola, the Wildcats used the strong pitching of Cody Luman to down the Indians. The ’Cats' senior pitcher threw a no-hitter with 12 strikeouts.Pocola's only run scored in the fourth inning on a Wister error.The Wildcats, who led 1-0 after an inning, took control of the game with a four-run second inning for a 5-0 lead.Down 6-5 after six innings to Oktaha, the Indians, ranked 18th, scored twice in the seventh inning to down Class 2A's 10th-ranked Tigers. He added two runs batted in to help is own cause and went 2-for-3 at the plate.Leflore 11, Whitesboro 2: In Whitesboro, the Savages (6-2) jumped out to a 5-2 lead by the second inning, then a four-run sixth inning put the game into run-rule status.Gans 12, Howe 11: In Gans, the Lions (0-4) had an 8-1 lead, but four errors in the fourth inning led to six runs for the Grizzlies for a 12-9 lead after four innings.Rock Creek 6, Spiro 5; Red Oak 7, Spiro 6: In Red Oak, the Bulldogs suffered a pair of losses with the victors in each game scoring in their last at-bat.Against the Mustangs, the ’Dogs led 5-4 after six innings, only to see Rock Creek score twice in the seventh inning to get the win.Against Red Oak, the Eagles broke a 6-6 tie with a run in the seventh inning. Spiro led 4-0 in the first inning as Red Oak pitching issued four walks with the bases loaded.
