ARKOMA — When the Arkoma Lady Mustangs and the Bokoshe Lady Tigers met Jan. 18 at Bokoshe Tigers Fieldhouse, the Lady Tigers prevailed by two points. The Lady Mustangs not only avenged that loss, but made it a happy homecoming with a 59-56 victory Tuesday night at the Arkoma High School gym.
With the game tied at 16 after a period, the Lady Mustangs edged the Lady Tigers by a point in the second quarter, 15-14, to take a 31-30 halftime lead.
Still holding onto a single-point lead at 41-40 going into the final period, Arkoma outscored Bokoshe 18-16 in the fourth quarter to hang on for a homecoming victory.
Howe 54, Cameron 52, OT: In Cameron, the Lady Yellowjackets outscored the Lady Lions 14-9 in the final period to force overtime with the contest tied at 45-all.
In overtime, the Lady Lions outscored the Lady ’Jackets 9-7 to get the two-point win.
Heavener 61, Pocola 41: In Heavener, the Lady Wolves jumped to a 15-10 lead after a period, but put the game away with a 19-8 second period to take a 34-18 halftime lead.
Panama 50, Keota 43: In Panama, the Lady Razorbacks, who snapped a two-game losing streak, jumped out to a 10-8 lead on the Lady Lions and never trailed after that.
Talihina 68, Hartshorne 35: In Talihina, the Lady Golden Tigers led 16-9 after a period en route to a 31-22 advantage at halftime.
Talihina put the game away with a 13-8 third quarter to take a 44-30 lead into the final period.
Wister 64, McCurtain 41: In Wister, the Lady Wildcats jumped out to a 17-7 lead after a period and never looked back.
Smithville 49, Whitesboro 30: In Whitesboro, leading 32-30 after three periods, the Lady Braves shut out the Lady Bulldogs 17-0 in the final quarter to win going away.
Roland 59, Spiro 38: In Roland, the Lady Rangers, who will take a 15-game winning streak into Friday's road game at Poteau, jumped out to 12-9 lead after a period and outscored the Lady Bulldogs in every period.
