WISTER — A strong third quarter enabled the Bokoshe Lady Tigers to post a 58-50 come-from-behind win over the Wister Lady Wildcats Tuesday night at the Wister Gym.
Down 25-23 at halftime, the Lady Tigers outscored the Lady ’Cats 27-7 in the third quarter to take a 50-32 lead into the final period.
One thing which aided the Bokoshe comeback was the 3-point baskets, of which the Lady Tigers hit 11 for 33 of their 58 points.
Talihina 43, Heavener 28: In Talihina, the Lady Golden Tigers used strong defense in the second and third periods to take control of the game. Down 10-8 after one quarter, Talihina outscored Heavener 25-10 over the next two periods to take a 33-20 lead into the final quarter.
Spiro 56, Stilwell 51, OT: In Spiro, the Lady Bulldogs trailed 39-32 after three periods, but outscored the Indians 16-9 in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 48-all, then outscored the visitors 8-3 in the extra period to make the comeback complete.
Howe 74, McCurtain 21: In McCurtain, the Lady Lions kept their record perfect in Green Valley Conference play at 11-0 with the victory. Howe jumped out to a 17-3 lead after one period and never looked back.
Panama 42, Gans 38: In Gans, down 17 points in the opening period and 24-11 at halftime, the Lady Razorbacks outscored the Lady Grizzlies 34-16 over the final 18 minutes of game time to get the come-from-behind win.
Quinton 43, Leflore 26: In Leflore, in a battle of Lady Savages, the visitors from Pittsburg County prevailed. Quinton led 16-6 after one period and never lost the lead.
Stigler 50, Pocola 28: In Pocola, the Lady Panthers jumped out to a 15-7 lead on the Lady Indians after one period and never lost the lead.
Smithville 54, Whitesboro 52: In Smithville, a Lady Brave hit two free throws with two seconds left to break a 52-all tie.
