SMITHVILLE — The Whitesboro Lady Bulldogs made it 2-for-2 to begin the season as they got a 45-43 come-from-behind road win over the Smithville Lady Braves.
Trailing 15-11 after one period, the Lady Bulldogs outscored Smithville 13-9 in the second quarter to knot the game at 24 at halftime.
In the third quarter, the Lady Bulldogs outscored the Lady Braves 9-6 to take a 33-30 lead into the final period.
Wister 56, McCurtain 38: In McCurtain, the Lady Wildcats jumped out to a 16-5 lead after one period to take control of the game.
Panola 31, Leflore 24: In Leflore, Taylor Lloyd's basket to begin the game put the Lady Savages (0-3) ahead 2-0 in their home opener. However, that ended up being their only lead. The Lady Bearcats took a 20-18 lead into the final period.
