HEAVENER â€” The Heavener Lady Wolves continued their winning ways Tuesday afternoon, run ruling the Wister Lady Wildcats 8-0 in five innings.
The Lady Wolves, fresh off last week's first-ever county softball tournament title, broke a scoreless tie with a single run in the second inning and two in the third. Then, a five-run fifth inning that ended with Mattison Place's three-run home run put the game into run-rule status.
Whitesboro 13, Smithville 1; Smithville 11, Whitesboro 1: In Smithville, the Lady Bulldogs split Tuesday's twinbill.
In the nightcap, the Lady Bulldogs had a 10-run second inning to break a scoreless tie.
In the loss to Smithville, the Lady Braves scored twice in the first inning and seven runs in the second for a 9-0 lead.
McCurtain 11, Cameron 10; McCurtain 6, Cameron 3: In McCurtain, the Lady Yellowjackets suffered a sweep at the hands of the Lady Bulldogs.
In the opener, after the Lady â€™Jackets scored four runs in the sixth inning to tie the game at 10, the Lady Bulldogs scored the game-winning run in the seventh inning.
In the nightcap, the Lady Bulldogs, who were down 1-0 in the second inning, scored three runs in the second inning and twice in the third for a 5-1 lead after three innings.
Oktaha 2, Pocola 0; Muldrow 13, Pocola 12: In Muldrow, the Lady Indians, who were runners-up in last week's county tournament, dropped a pair of close games.
Against Oktaha, the Lady Indians were one-hit, that being a Morgan Hale single.
Against Muldrow, a 10-run third inning put Pocola ahead 12-3, but the Lady Bulldogs scored six runs in the third inning and four in the fifth to snatch away the victory from the Lady Indians.
