Tuesday's High School Softball Roundup

September 8, 2011

PANAMA — Panama pitcher Taylor Eaves threw a four-hit shutout as the Lady Razorbacks downed the Spiro Lady Bulldogs 4-0 Tuesday afternoon.
Wister 10, Bokoshe 0; Wister 4, Talihina 3: In Wister, the Lady Wildcats (12-8) got a no-hitter from Katelen Morgan (1-0) as she fanned five batters in the three-inning, run-rule victory over the Lady Tigers.
In Wister's victory over Talihina, Morgan used her bat to decide the game as her two-out, solo home run in the fifth ended the game.
Heavener 6, Smithville 0; Heavener 4, Stigler 3: In Heavener, Logan Hinds (19-5) struck out nine batters and threw a two-hit shutout against the Lady Braves.
In the win over Stigler, Hinds used her bat to determine the game as her RBI double in the seventh inning broke a 3-3 tie to get Heavener the win — and avenge the Lady Panthers' doubleheader sweep in last fall's Class 3A Dsitrict Tournament in Heavener.
Arkoma 11, Gans 7; Arkoma 12, Gans 11: In Gans, the Lady Mustangs (7-11) posted a pair of come-from-behind wins against the Lady Grizzlies.
Editor's Note — Look for the details of Whitesboro's games against Panola in Friday's edition. Also, nothing was reported on Howe's home game against Battiest.
