Twas sweet to watch OU's Sugar Bowl win over Alabama

NEW ORLEANS — As I watched the Alabama Crimson Tide drive right down the field for a touchdown to open the first quarter, I first thought this is a really great team — and I don't think the Oklahoma Sooners can play with them.
However, my second thought was remembering OU facing a USC team for the 2004 national title in the Orange Bowl, and Jason White drove the Sooners right down the field for a 7-0 lead early in that game as well. Of course, we all know what happened in that game.
It didn't take the Sooners long to answer against Alabama and it was “game on" in the 2014 Sugar Bowl on Wednesday night at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome as the Sooners gave the Crimson Tide all they wanted and more.
