Two local slow-pitch softballers to be in All-State Games on Saturday

Two LeFlore County high school softball players, Heavener’s Savannah Steelman and Pocola’s Taylor Farley, will participate in their final competitive slow-pitch games of their careers Saturday afternoon as they will be in the 2014 Oklahoma Slow-Pitch Softball Coaches Association All-State Games at the University of Oklahoma.
Farley will be on the East team in the Middle School All-State Game at 1 p.m.
Steelman will be on the East team in the Large School All-State Game at 3 p.m.
Steelman was to have been joined by Poteau’s RaeLynn Caldwell, a Carl Albert State College signee, but she will not be able to participate.
