Two people injured in Spiro house fire

Two people were injured Monday night in a house fire on Stewart Loop near Spiro.

Two people were flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital after a house fire Monday night.
According to the LeFlore County Sheriff's Department, the fire happened on Stewart Loop near Spiro at approximately 8:30 p.m. Two people were injured, a woman and a man who were found lying on the ground outside the home unconscious.
According to emergency crews on the scene, the woman was seriously burned and is in critical condition. The man suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation.
Sources close to the investigation say the fire is being considered a possible act of domestic abuse. LeFlore County Sheriff Rob Seale and Undersheriff Kendall Morgan returned to the scene Tuesday afternoon as the investigation into the incident continued.
