When given the opportunity to retire early Steve Stubblefield said, "Why not." Stubblefield is hanging up his carrier bag after 35 years with the Poteau Post Office.  He was honored by Poteau Postmaster Bridget London with a plaque, a gift card and a party. He claims he is going to take it easy now that he will no longer have to deliver the mail to the fine citizens of Poteau. Stubblefield is an avid fisherman and hopes he gets some time to fish between spending time with his wife, Pamela, their two children and five grandchilden.
