Akins retiring after 35 years |

After 35 years of devoted service to the Shady Point School District, Marie Akins is retiring.
The faculty and staff at the school would like to invite any current and/or former students as well as parents, co-workers and friends in the community to a retirement ceremony in her honor.
The event is scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Shady Point Assembly of God Church located at the corner of Wiles and Harrison in Shady Point. A reception will follow at the Shady Point School cafeteria.
