Keddo Ombudsman Volunteer Training

The KEDDO Area Agency on Aging will be conducting an Ombudsman Volunteer Training on Monday, August 17th and Tuesday, August 18,   This two-day certification training class for LeFlore County residents is free and open to the public. Volunteers must attend both days of training to become certified in the ombudsman program. You can make a difference in the life of a nursing home resident.  To be a volunteer in the ombudsman program, the applicant must:  Have a concern about older persons and their needs and have the ability to see each as an individual case.
 
Ombudsman volunteers serve at local nursing homes and residential care facilities two hours each week.  The KEDDO office is located at 200 South McKenna, next door to the Employment Service Building.  Lunch will be on your own from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.    If you would like to become an Ombudsman volunteer, or if you have any questions about the Ombudsman Program, please call Renee Johnson or Pat Braund, Ombudsman  Supervisors at the KEDDO Area Agency On Aging  at 1-800-722-8180, or you may call (918) 465-2367.
