This two vehicle accident occurred at approximately 11:30 a.m. Tuesday near Hodgen. Six persons were transported to Fort Smith, Ark., hospitals suffering from various injuries. Fortunately, there were no fatalities as a result of the head-on collision. According to witnesses at the scene, the car travelled left of center and struck the pickup which was pulling the travel trailer. Traffic along Highway 59 as backed up several miles both ways while Heavener firefighters and other emergency personnel cleared the roadway. No further information was available at press time.
