Drivers along Broadway and the side streets at Broadway may have noticed that the traffic has been a little slower than normal since Monday.  Poteau Mayor Jeff Shockley stated that the delays have been because all 224 light bulbs in all 70 traffic lights on all eight intersections along Broadway in Poteau had to be changed at the same time.  Due to new technology, the city of Poteau had the opportunity to test a new type of bulb a few months ago to see if the lights could be seen better if the lights were brighter. After a  few weeks it was determined that the new bulbs did make a difference and  parts were ordered for the replacement project. Shockley stated that the project should be finished by mid-week.
