The mission of Angel Paws Clinic in Arkoma is to reduce the number of unwanted animals in communities and shelters. On Mondays and Wednesdays Clinic director Shearon Allen and her staff work on fulfilling the mission, Angel Paws is a spay and neuter clinic which opened in June and provides services to low income families, rescued animal caregivers and animal shelters. Allen and her staff are in the office those two days from 7:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. taking care of the animals that have been pre-registered for the services. Surgeries are performed at a minimal cost - dogs are $40 and cats are $30. Shots for each surgery are an additional $5 The three paid staff members are assisted by volunteers and, together, have performed 800 surgeries to date. The clinic operates mainly on donations which may be made by calling 918-875-2966 or 1-479-652-0580.
