The District 16 Drug Task Force recently served a narcotics search warrant on the home of Dennis Hamley in Heavener.
Although Hamley was not home at the time, Amber Crase, a friend, was at the home with her three children. The children were released to family members when officials from the Department of Human Services arrived. The affidavit states that the officers knocked on the door of the residence before entering by force. At the time they forced the door open, Crase began to open the door. The force caused the door to hit her in the head and LeFlore County Emergency Medical Services responded. No substantial injuries were reportedly present on Crase. During the search the officers found a large amount of paraphernalia as well as methamphetamine, marijuana and firearms. Hamley is a former convicted felon and is being charged with a felon in possession of firearms, as well as the drug charges. Howe, Heavener and Poteau Police Departments assisted with the bust along with the LeFlore County Sheriff's Department. |
