The LeFlore County Sheriff's Department assisted the Alcoholic Beverage Law Enforcement Commission (ABLE) with four arrest warrants Wednesday afternoon. Two males and two females were taken into custody after a search warrant was executed at the 128 Bar and Grill south of Heavener. The owners of the bar, Linda Evans and Edward Travis, along with bartender Sandy Thompson and bar patron John Metzker were transported to the LeFlore County Detention Center. Anticipated charges include possession of alcohol with intent to distribute, unlicensed sale of alcoholic beverages, selling alcoholic beverages to minors, possession of moonshine and intent to distribute marijuana. “We found a fairly good amount of marijuana at the bar,” stated LeFlore County Sheriff Bruce Curnutt. One other arrest is anticipated in connection with the raid based on information gathered by ABLE. The investigation began when reports and complaints were made to the LCSO concerning the sale of alcohol to minors. Curnutt stated that he contacted the ABLE Commission approximately a month ago and they have had agents inside the bar tracking the sales.
