The LeFlore County Sheriff's Department is keeping up the Red Ribbon Week spirit by cracking down on drugs in LeFlore County. The department, with assistance from the Spiro Police Department executed a narcotics and stolen property search warrant Wednesday night in Spiro at the home of Ricky Hale. Hale was arrested on charges of possession of meth and paraphernalia and he received tickets for possession of illegal deer parts and for not having deer tags. The officers stated that they found items they believe to be consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine such as red phosphorous and items with no serial numbers which, they said, could be stolen property. The items believed to be a precursor for meth are being sent to the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investi-gation. If those items are confirmed to be consistent with meth labs, additional charges may be filed against Hale.
