PDN photos by Gayleen Draper Poteau Primary School held an old fashioned land run just like the settlers did 100 years ago to claim land in Oklahoma. The land run was in honor of Oklahoma's Centennial Celebration. Students lined up and took off at the sounding of a whistle. Students were dressed in western clothes and had a good time pulling their wagons and racing to claim their picnic spot. The four young men at right claimed their land and set up housekeeping. Pictured are (bottom, from left) Landen Daily and Seth Hampton; (top, from left) Dalton Smith and Brexton Hammon.
