Bobby C. Pitchford, 76, of Heavener, passed away Jan. 5, 2008, in Heavener.
He was a long-time resident of Heavener. He was a member of the Heavener First United Methodist Church and former member of the Midland Heights Methodist Church in Fort Smith, Ark. He served in the Korean Conflict. He owned and operated the Pitchford Glass Plant in Heavener. He was a member of the Heavener Chamber of Commerce and received the Business of the Year award after opening the glass plant. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.K. Pitchford Sr. and Amy Pitchford and one brother Earl Pitchford. He is survived by his wife, Patsy; daughter, Carol Ann Mitchell of Oklahoma City; son, Keith Pitchford of Heavener; sisters, Wanda Richmond of Lufkin, Texas, Helen Deffenbaugh of Poteau, sue Finch of St. Charles, Mo., Bexta Pitchford of Highlands Ranch, Colo.; brothers, L.K. Pitchford Jr. of Poteau, Bill Pitchford of Heavener; grandchildren, Wesley McGee and wife Jessica of Dallas, Texas, Melissa Longsworth and husband James of Fayetteville, N.C., Marcus McGee of Heavener, Bryan Pitchford of Fayetteville; one great-grandson.Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Heavener. Interment will follow in the Memorial Park cemetery.Arrangements were made under the direction of Dowden Funeral Home in Heavener. |
