Carl Albert State College Vikings basketball player LaShawn Gallion,  a 6-6 sophomore post player from Jacksonville, Fla., signed a letter of intent to play basketball with Southern University at New Orleans, which is an NAIA school.
Gallion is excited to continue playing basketball.
“It means a lot and this is telling me that there is more basketball to be played [for me],” Gallion said. “I always dreamed about playing at the next level. When I arrived at Carl Albert, I knew it could happen.”
Having players moving on pays dividends for CASC men's coach Mike St. John.
“In the recruiting process, people want to know where your players have gone on to play, and the success that they have had which helps to bring players in recruiting wise,” St. John said.
