Vivian Lorene Duboise, 94, of Shady Point died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, in Shady Point.
Vivian was born Nov. 26, 1917, in Cameron to Luther and Francis (Tucker) Bridges.Â She was a homemaker. Vivian lived most of her life in the rural area of Cameron.Â She was a member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church. She and Rosser Duboise were married May 26, 1934, and were together until he died Dec. 2, 1989.Â Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Rosser; grandson, Dean Currens; her parents; stepfather, Charlie Mooneyham; great-grandson, Zack Moore; three brothers, Bob, Clyde and Otho Mooneyham; and special friends, Claude and Inez Farrar.Â
She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty AnnÂ and Leo Burden of Upland, Calif., Gloria Jean and Johnny Currens of Shady Point, Katie and Larry Sockey of Pocola; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Margaret DuBois of Cameron; granddaughter, Virginia Ann and Doug Moore of Austin, Texas; seven grandsons, Wayne and Susie Currens of Poteau, Randy and Lettie Burden of Upland, Bill and Angie DuBois of Mustang, Joe and Trisa DuBois of Shady Point, Mike and Kristi DuBois of Blanchard, Jon and Kelly Sockey, Ronnie and Mindy Sockey of Poteau; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Elizabeth Farrar and Mattie Lee Fox of Cameron; one brother, Bill and Lucille Mooneyham of Poteau; one sister-in-law, Mary Mooneyham of Torrance, Calif.; her many special â€śadopted kidsâ€ť that she hauled to Sunday School and Vacation Bible School; other relatives and loved ones; many beloved friends.Â
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Caughern and Travis Cook officiating. Interment will be New Providence Cemetery, Slatonville.Â Â
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Liberty Hill Baptist Church Building Fund.Â
The family will be at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday to visit with relatives and friends.
