Wade, Young lift Arkansas past Eastern Kentucky; Former CASC Viking leads Colonels in scoring

December 22, 2011

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Mike Anderson won't complain about wins, but the Arkansas coach is ready to see improved shooting from the Razorbacks.
Mardracus Wade led a balanced attack with 13 points and BJ Young added 12 to lift Arkansas (7-3) to a 71-57 win over Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday night. The Razorbacks shot just 32 percent, but they connected on 29-of-35 free throws.
Arkansas scored 25 points off 19 turnovers by Eastern Kentucky, which had a four-game winning streak snapped. Former Carl Albert State College Viking Jaron Jones led the Colonels (7-6) with 16 points, 11 in the second half.
