Walk-off grand-slam home run lifts Cameron girls past Wister

CAMERON — It makes no difference how many times a team leads, just winning at the end of the game is all that matters. Just ask the Cameron Lady Yellowjackets.
A walk-off, grand-slam home run by Cheyenne Adams in the seventh inning lifted the Lady ’Jackets to a 10-9 come-from-behind win over the Wister Lady Wildcats in the season opener Monday afternoon.
Down 9-6 entering the final inning, Adams' grand-slam gave Cameron its only lead of the game.
Editor's Note — The Arkoma-Heavener game did not take place Monday. The game will be made up as part of a three-way on March 16 when Vian visits Heavener.
