Wayne ‘Spider’ Webb
Wayne “Spider” Webb, 73, of Poteau died Sunday, June 30, 2013. Spider was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Tarby Community to John D. and Ruth (Sherfield) Webb. He was owner/operator of Spider Webb Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep Dealership until 2003 and Spider Webb Farm Implements in Poteau and Fort Smith, currently the John Deere dealership. Spider was a veteran of the Oklahoma National Guard. He was an avid supporter of the community and contributed to many causes throughout the area over the years, including his personal favorite, the LeFlore County Youth Services Angel Tree.Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Darlene of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Michael Stewart of Fort Smith, Ark.; son, Matt Webb of Poteau; brothers, Johnny Mac Webb of Howe, Stanley Webb of Fort Smith, Ark.; sister, Connie Fuller of Howe; other relatives and loved ones; and countless beloved friends.Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, at First Baptist Church, Poteau, with the Revs. Phil McGehee, Jim Cook and Clayton Griggs officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Poteau. Pallbearers will be Joe Davison, Ron Cofer, Babe Smith, Glenn Thompson, Dobber Gamble, Jason Nichols, John Chitwood, Dougal Sanders and Don McMillin.The family will be at the funeral home on from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday to visit with relatives and friends.Donations may be made in Spider’s name to the LeFlore County Youth Services Angel Tree in lieu of flowers.You may leave an online message at evansandmillerfuneralhomes.com.Arrangements are under the direction of Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
