Weather warning issued for travelers

With temperatures expected to fall as low as 13 degrees this weekend, the National Weather Service in Norman has issued a Winter Storm Watch for LeFlore, Pushmataha and Choctaw counties. Sebastian county in Arkansas is also under watch.
The storm is expected to arrive Thursday, with more than a quarter inch of ice likely and a low temperature of 28 degrees. Friday night’s low temperature is projected at 13 degrees.
According to the report which was issued at noon on Tuesday, “Freezing rain will arrive in southeast Oklahoma and west central Arkansas Thursday afternoon. The precipitation will transition to a freezing rain and sleet mix ... and finally just sleet.”
