FORT GIBSON — The Poteau baseball team lost 5-3 to Sperry in a battle of Pirates on the final day of the Fort Gibson Tournament on Saturday.
With the game tied at 3 in the sixth inning, Sperry scored twice to get the win.
Spiro 7, Jay 3: Saturday at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale, Ark., the Bulldogs used a four-run fifth inning to break a 3-all tie.
Roland 3, Pocola 1: Friday in Roland, the Rangers scored once in the second inning to tie the game at 1, then scored twice in the fifth to get the win.
Wister 8, Wilburton 1; Hartshorne 4, Wister 0: Friday in Wilburton, the Wildcats got a one-hitter from the combination of Beto Johnson and Caleb Moore to beat the host Diggers.
In the loss to Hartshorne, the Miners six-hit the Wildcats.
Smithville 13, Whitesboro 3; Coleman 11, Whitesboro 0: In Class B District Tournament at Whitesboro, the Bulldogs saw their season come to an end with the losses.
In the loss to Smithville, the ’Dogs jumped out to a 3-0 lead, but the Braves tied the game at 3 in the third inning, then scored a run in the fourth, twice in the fifth, three runs in the sixth and four runs in the seventh.
In the loss to Coleman, the Wildcats no-hit the Bulldogs.
