BROKEN BOW — After a hard-fought road win Friday night at Wilburton, the Talihina Golden Tigers ran into a more athletic team in the Broken Bow Savages Saturday night. The host Savages took it to the Golden Tigers in a 48-27 win.
Pocola 74, Hartshorne 33: Friday night in Pocola, the Indians jumped out to a 23-2 lead after one period and never were headed to make it a happy homecoming.
Spiro 60, Sallisaw 46: Friday night in Spiro, the Bulldogs led 15-9 after one period, but then outscored the Black Diamonds 18-6 in the second quarter to take a 33-15 halftime lead.
Leflore 62, Clayton 35: Friday night in Clayton, the Savages entered this week's LeFlore County Tournament on a high note. Leflore led 13-2 after a period en route to a 35-13 halftime advantage.
Talihina 63, Wilburton 56: Friday night in Wilburton, the Golden Tigers, who were tied at 12-12 after a period, outscored the Diggers 51-44 over the final three quarters to get the road victory.
Buffalo Valley 69, Bokoshe 28: Friday night in Buffalo Valley, the Tigers fell behind 24-4 after one period and never could recover from the slow start.
