MULDROW — The Poteau Pirates basketball team rebounded from Thursday night's home loss to Stilwell with a 53-42 road win over the Muldrow Bulldogs on Friday night.
The Pirates jumped out to a 13-5 lead after a period and never lost the lead.
Talihina 50, Pocola 48, OT: Saturday afternoon in Talihina, Alan Lockhart's game-winning basket with two seconds left lifted the Golden Tigers to not only the win but the Black Diamond Conference title.
Spiro 55, Cedarville, Ark., 37: Saturday night in Spiro, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 28-11 lead after a period en route to the homecoming victory.
Heavener 60, Stigler 42: Friday night in Heavener, the Wolves jumped out to a 11-9 lead after a period, which became a 33-24 halftime advantage en route to a 51-35 lead going into the final period.
Spiro 62, Roland 41: Friday night in Spiro, the Bulldogs avenged their first loss of the season when the Rangers downed them right after they won the LeFlore County Tournament for the third straight year.
Leading 15-12 after a period, Spiro outscored Roland 20-9 in the second quarter to take a 35-21 halftime lead.
Talihina 49, Wilburton 38: Friday night in Wilburton, the Golden Tigers jumped out to a 10-6 lead after a period. Leading 33-29 after three quarters, Talihina outscored Wilburton 16-9 in the final period to preserve the win.
Quinton 57, Howe 47: Friday night in Quinton, the Lions suffered their second loss of the season. The Savages jumped out to a 17-14 lead after a period and never lost the lead.
