BROKEN BOW — The Talihina Lady Golden Tigers ended the weekend of overtime games on a high note as they defeated the Broken Bow Lady Savages 52-43 in OT Saturday night.
Spiro 48, Sallisaw 33: Friday night in Spiro, the Lady Bulldogs led 14-10 after a quarter, 21-14 at halftime and 33-26 after three periods in a game which had 53 turnovers between the two teams. But in the final period, Spiro more than doubled Sallisaw's output, 15-7, to win going away — despite committing 27 turnovers.
Bokoshe 53, Buffalo Valley 39: Friday night in Buffalo Valley, the Lady Tigers upped their first-quarter advantage of 9-6 to a 29-16 halftime lead by outscoring the Lady Buffaloes 20-10 in the second period.
Hartshorne 49, Pocola 32: Friday night in Pocola, the Lady Miners spoiled homecoming for the Lady Indians. Hartshorne jumped out to a 9-2 lead and never relinquished the advantage.
Clayton 54, Leflore 38: Friday night in Clayton, the Lady Bulldogs, who led 7-4 after one period, took control of the game in the second quarter as they outscored the Lady Savages 16-7 to take a 23-11 halftime lead.
Wilburton 39, Talihina 38, OT: Friday night in Wilburton, trying to run out the overtime period with a one-point lead, Talihina turned the ball over with just more than a minute left, with Wilburton cashing in for the game-winning basket. But with 2.1 seconds left, Talihina's Krissy Houston attempted a game-winning lay-up, but had her shot blocked at the buzzer to preserve Wilburton's win.
